/ XAVIER PHILIPPE
Xavier Philippe is public Lecturer in law at the University Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III and Director of the Institute Louis Favoreu - GERJC, whose field of studies is centered on the French and compared constitutional case law. Having worked on the French constitutional and administrative disputes, he spent seven years in South Africa from 1994 till 2001 when he participated as a foreign observer to the drafting of the 1996 Constitution, to the works of the Committee Vérité et Réconciliation and taught to the Universities of Western Cape and of the Cape as associated Professor. He was also involved with the International Committee of the Red Cross as regional legal advisor for the Eastern European countries from 2004 till 2007. He teaches constitutional law, compared constitutional dispute, humanitarian international law and human rights and penal international law.
