/ PIERRE-JEAN GIRE
Pierre J. Gire obtained a Master’s degree in social science applied to work (University of Nantes), and a DEA in Industrial Financial Strategy from Aix Marseilles university.
Responsible of district for the sanitary and social affairs during more than ten years, he was then attached member of parliament of the former Minister of State Olivier Guichard before taking oath for the United Nations Organisation in 1991.
Assuming various responsibilities within international organizations (UN, World Bank, UNDP), he coordinated numerous missions, more particulary in Africa where he ensured the realization of audits related to management control introductory to privatizations and the development of the private sector.
Nammed international expert, he became Representative to the President of the International Organization of Experts and devoted a part of his activity to the study and fight against corruption, more particularly in Africa (Gabon, Senegal, Congo), in Europe (Romania, Poland) and Brazil. This fiel dis one of his favorite thèmes on which he wrote many articles.
Teaching towards several universities, he is since 2008 Chairman of the Institute for Advanced Studies on the United Nations.
