/ PAOLA DEGANI

Mrs. Paola Degani has obtained her degree in Political Science at the University of Padua in1988. In 1996 she obtained her post-graduated degree in Institution and Techniques of Human Rights Implementation at the homonymous School of Padua University. Mrs. Paola Degani is the author of books and papers on policies on the promotion of women’s rights and equal opportunities, violence against women in the context of human rights paradigm, children’s rights, policies on trafficking in persons and gender related issues, policies on prostitution and human rights in general. From 2000 to 2004 she had a research contract at the University of Padua. She worked on research topics like International criminal law, human rights and the contribution of non governmental actors.

Since 2008 she is Professor Aggregate of Human Rights and Women’s Condition at the University of Padua, Faculty of Political Science.
