Benedikt Franke

/ BENEDIKT FRANKE

Benedikt Franke holds a PhD in International Studies at the University of Cambridge where he was a Kurt Hahn Scholar.

Previously, he gained a MA in International and Strategic Studies from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Mr. Franke has worked for the German Ministry of Defence, the German Embassy in London and, most recently, as deputy to the European Union Military Liaison Officer to the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Mr. Franke’s main research interest lies in the institutionalization of security cooperation, most notably in sub-Saharan Africa. He has published widely on this subject and is a member of several government-related working groups.
