The Oslo University is the biggest and most ancient university in Norway, and was founded in 1811. it welcomes more than 30 000 students and possesses eight departments ensuring teachings in all the fields. The quality and wide range of the research programs of Oslo University were awarded by the obtention of four Nobel Prizes in the XXth century. The Political Science Department was originally only dedicated to research. Then it diversified its activities by becoming also a training center. The research fields are relevant to political theory, compared politics, international politics, administration and public policies. The Department of Public & International Law possesses extremely active teams, particularly in the field of internal public law, administrative and constitutional law on the one hand, and refugees law and environmental law on the other hand.
