INSTITUT D’ÉTUDES POLITIQUES DE PARIS (FRANCE)
The Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) from Paris was originally the Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques de Paris, founded in 1872 by Emile Boutmy and nicknamed Sciences-Po. Its mission consisted in training the high civil servants of the french bureaucracy through teachings in social and political science, preliminarily in the Ecole Nationale d’Administration. In 1945, Sciences-Po Paris became the IEP from Paris. It belongs to the French reputed schools and shelters nine research centers. Among them there is the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches Internationales (CERI). The CERI analyses the international political system according to a multidisciplinary comparative approach. The analysed themes include contemporary political, social and economic phenomenon. The CERI provides an international discussion forum as most of its students and researchers stem from various geographic areas.
