Profiles
The various Chairs holders will either be academics or experiences professionals in order to ensure the diversity of views. The candidates stemming from the academic world will have to be upper grade academics, PhD holders and having ten years of professional practice. Practitioners will have at least fifteen years of professional exercise. In order to ensure an international opening, we expect candidates from all nationalities and we will respect the rules of representation of the five continents. The selection process of candidates will take into account the originality of their past works and the innovative aspect of the proposed intellectual approach.
Missions
The Chairs holders will have to carry out the mission to lead active research with the means that will be handled to them by the Institute and the partner academic institution. Their research works will be in the framework of an issue preliminarily defined by a scientific committee and for which they will be chosen.
The teaching of Chair holders will comprise an introductory lesson followed by weekly courses and seminars during a period of six months, requiring them to regularly report on the progression of their research. The holders are encouraged to foster scientific connections by inviting external personalities. The holders will draft the results of their researches in acts. These acts will be published and presented in public after the teaching semester.
Advantages
We will ensure that Chairs holders do work in an optimized environment. Thus we do offer interesting working conditions. First, the Chair holders will receive a monthly income extremely attractive for the length of the Chair occupation, i-e six months from January to June.
An office, qualified staff and a research allowance will be provided to the holder.
Holders could also rely on the assistance of a secretary in charge of administrative management of the Chair, and on an assistant who will benefit from a post-doctoral status or associate and who will collaborate to the technical and scientific activities of the Chair. On the other hand, the research budget available for the Chair holder will be 100 000/ year (without incomes). Thus the holders could organize activities: prepare the courses and seminars, invite other researchers and professors and setting up the closing international conference.
