Online donation is a quick, efficient and secure method to help the Institute for Advanced Studies on the United Nations to fulfill its mission and objectives.

Make a donation or legacy
What for?
Make a donation or legacy, or chose the Institute for Advanced Studies on the United Nations as beneficiary of a life insurance means participating actively to the development of its high level scientific activities, preparing its future and strengthen its sustainability.
What’s a donation?
As soon as now you can donate, i-e, transmit a possession lively. It must be drafted in a notarial act.
A donation can be made upon two conditions:
- the benefactor owns the possession on the donation day
- the donation must not constitute a threat for heirs
Donation leads to the immedite transfer of ownership to the beneficiary.
A donation can be applied to any possession : real estate, furniture, cash, bank account, jewelry, art…
The benefactor remains owner until death.
Legacies are applied to actions in the respect of the vows emited by benefactors. If the legacy’s allocation in not precised, the Institute will chose to allocate it according to the projects needing financial support.
Health insurance
The IASUN can also accept to benefit from a health insurance.
The amounts drafted on a health insurance contract escape Under certain conditions to the dispositions regarding heirs.
At the moment of the contract signature, it is enough to indicate clearly the name of the beneficiary.
How to make a legacy ?
A testimonial must be drafted. Its drafting allows to organize the succession while deciding of who will inherit and to give a particular gift to a physical or moral person chosen.
Any person aged more than 16 years old can draft testimonial.
It is a written act, dated and signed by the hand of the testifyer. It is a secret document which must preferably be deposed under notarial institute.
It can at any time be complemented, modified or revoked by the drafter.
In the absence of testimonial ad direct heir, the State will be the sole beneficiary of your patrimony.
If you have descendants or ascendants, those have the status of reservatory heirs. They do possess rights determined by the law that cannot be threaten. You can henceforth legate legally anything that do not belong to them.
4 forms of legacies :
- the universal legacy consisting in giving all the possessions to one person (the universal legatary)
- the joint universal legacy consisting in giving possessions shared in equal parts to many persons.
- the legacy Under universal title meaning to give a part of the possessions to one or several beneficiaries.
- the particular legacy which consists in giving a precise possession.
