An interndisciplinary approach, a multipartnerships project

Partenaires de l'ONU

The Digital Encyclopedia on the United Nations is a large-scale project that requires the collaboration of numerous partners. The expected contributions deal with the Encyclopedia’s content, more particularly the documentary resources, the share and technological development, as well as financial contributions.

By supporting the Encyclopedia to acquire articles and documents, some partners would provide a precious advantage for the content. The targeted partners are the experts, universities, UN and universities’ libraries, the network of United Nations associate libraries as well as edition companies.

The program is also looking for partners associated to the technical aspect of the project and to the developing of the software who would provide with their technological and computer expertise. We particularly target universities and specialized companies.

Lastly, this initiative represents a budget of 6 millions euros for 4 years of development financing three major positions: experts meetings, administrative assistance and the technical development of the site. In order to fulfill our objectives financial contributions are expected for the setting-up and realization of the program, and there, we do look upon Member States, foundations and companies.
