Publications : an efficient tool to value new perspectives and contributions

Publication constitutes a fundamental aspect of the Alexandre Parodi Scholarships Program’s activity. It is complementary to the allocation of grants and to the seminars through their diffusion.

The grants represent a direct mean to encourage research. Seminars support the production of knowledge and the elaboration of an expertise. This mission could not be complete without a constant valorization process of the works effectuated by the PhD students and the associate practitioners. In order to value the works of are grant holders, the program will ensure the publication of their works and the most widespread diffusion as possible.

The Institute will publish all the analyses and all the documents developed in the scope of the Program. In this end, a partnership is realized with the United Nations University Press. This house possesses a secular experience and an international audience. Besides, the UNU Press has the advantage to publish all types of academic works. A cooperation with the UNU Press will ensure the visibility of grant holders and the credibility of the Program in the academic sphere.

Besides, the grant holders will be invited to publish articles within reviews, papers and collective works. They will thus beneficiate from a pedagogical assistance of the Program’s direction.

They will also have to participate to high-level conferences during their PhD. The participation to conferences is an additional mean to make their works accessible and visible.

Of course, as previously explained, the students’ thesis will benefit from a final publication after re-drafting it with the partner editor, the PhD student, the research director and the Program’s direction.

Moreover, the working documents, or policy papers drafted for semestrial seminars will be published soon after being held. In the program’s end, they will all be collected within a same collection.
