Development & Public Affairs Officer

Main functions:
Under the authority of the Director, you will have to ensure the national and international promotion of the Institute for Advanced Studies on the United Nations and will contribute to its development via the organization of fundraising activities towards private partners.
Your main functions will be to CONCEIVE and IMPLEMENT any mean, action or communication network aiming at improving the visibility of the Organizations; PROMOTE its activities and programs, more particularly at an international level, by any means and in collaboration with its partners; DEFINE the targets and priorities in the scope of the realization of communication supports, conceive and pilot their realization ;ORGANIZE the Relationship with the press: invitation of journalists for events, follow up of the media coverage, drafting of communiqués and press folders, follow up the intervention of our experts in the media, MAINTAIN permanent contacts with journalists in the main media, ORGANIZE external promotional actions towards all the partners (territorial collectivities, Financial sphere, press, private partners) and events ; CREATE and ENSURE the coherence of the website and organize its updates ; ensure the coordination and drafting of the annual report.
In the scope of fundraising activities, the candidate will have to CONTRIBUTE to define a strategy to levy funds relying on internal resources (administrators, experts, researchers, private or public partners), DEFINE targets, means and a calendar, IMPLEMENT the levy of funds: PREPARE files and FOLLOW UP rendez-vous; ORGANIZE the recognition and valorization policy of donors, and implement the corresponding events.
Skills/profile :
Advanced business school, Institute of Political Studies, university degrees in the field of political science, international affairs, management and communication; at least five years of Professional experience with increasing responsibilities, 2 years of which at an international level in the field of public relations, lobbying, fundraising, and/or negotiation;
Theoretical, analytical and technical acknowledged skills, more particularly to elaborate strategies and policies;
Skills to communicate in an efficient convincing manner, oral and written; management and strategic planning skills, ability to manage financial resources;
Solid management capacities. Good interpersonal skills;
Ability to foster efficient working relations with top management; ability to listen and share ideas and data with various interlocutors; good knowledge of information technologies; excellent knowledge of English AND French and good knowledge of another language.
Political and Multilateral Affairs Officer

Main responsibilities
Under the authority of the Director, in the scope of his/her mission the Representative will have to:
EXAMINE and FOLLOW the activities of multilateral organizations;
COLLECT SELECT AND ANALYSE the data contained in the communications and publications stemming from various sources, such as the press;
EFFECTUATE research Works, ANALYZE trends and CARRY OUT studies concerning various complicated political situations that multilateral systems are undergoing;
FOLLOW AND ANALYZE the evolution of international political contexts;
DRAFT discussion topics, summary notes, general information notes and speeches;
ESTABLISH OR CONTRIBUTE to the drafting of reports, and in this end, HOLD the necessary consultations during special commissions with international organizations, governments, academic institutions and non governmental organizations;
FOLLOW the meetings and consultations of the institute on political and multilateral issues;
FAVOR the establishment of cooperation connections among the Institute and partners as well as with potential partners;
ORGANIZE meetings and consultations and RECOMMEND concrete measures to reinforce cooperation relations;
PARTICIPATE to conferences, seminars and reflection groups related to the field he/she is in charge of;

Skills/profile
Institute of Political Studies, university degrees in the fields of Political Science, International Affairs and International Law;
At least 5 years experience with increasing responsibilities, 2 years of which at an international level in the field of political science international affairs, law;
Excellent knowledge of the structures, functions and procedures of the UN system, international organizations and regional organizations;
Ability to follow delicate files, to report in a critical, analytical, quick and effective way and to lead in-depth studies and to draw it conclusions as for the causes and for the solutions of the political problems in precise domains;
Solid knowledge of UN and intergovernmental organs, knowledge in the field of international negotiation, and policies planning at an international level, knowledge of reform procedures of the UN;

Training and Research Programs Officer

Main responsibilities
Under the authority of the Director, the person in charge will have to ELABORATE EXECUTE AND EVALUATE the programs in the field of training and research, for the promotion and study of the UN system and its modernization, more particularly, concerning the strategic orientations of the institute, and CONSULT as a technical advisor to partners academic institutions in the formulation of policies, strategies and development plans.
PILOT AND COORDINATE the elaboration of methods, referential and tools for the analysis of the institute’s documents and the drafting of summaries at a regional and international level, HELP to conceive new international cooperation policies with international organizations, governments, academic institutions and other international partners, while focusing on priority fields of international, regional, and sub-regional cooperation in the field of training and research;
PROVIDE specialized advice to the institute in order to IMPLEMENT programs in strategic fields, capacity building techniques in the formulation of policies, planning and monitoring of projects and programs I the field of partnerships development;
PILOT SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE missions promoting and preparing activities.
CONTRIBUTE to the elaboration of strategies, programs and budgets and INITIATE the ground documents and the technical guidelines on the definition of priorities and strategies in the field of training and research.
Skills/profile

Excellent knowledge of educational mechanisms and of educational policies and strategies in pedagogical, economic and institutional contexts, such as technical and financial cooperation in the field of Education, in a national as well as international perspective.

Administrative Assistant

Main responsibilities
Under the authority of the Director, you will coordinate administrative services in the fields of publication spreading and other material, the Post services, management of offices and equipments, expenses, the treatment of contracts, travels of the staff, the meeting agenda, management of mail and secretariat documents. You will plan, organize and supervise daily tasks of the institute and you will ensure that they are handled in the expected time. You will elaborate and update the administrative protocols and procedures, provide administrative assistance services in order to ensure the most rigorous running of the global accountability systems, the establishment of reports and internal control and the management of any pertinent file.
You will carry out the administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of the institute, more particularly the elaboration of job descriptions and staff recruitment, and you will effectuate any other administrative duty.
Skills/profile
University Degree in the fields of social science, public administration or company administration;
At least 3 years of similar experience in the administration or related field; professionalism, experience in the field of organization and works supervisions.
Ability to communicate: ability to draft in a clear and precise manner and to express oneself easily.
Ability to listen and to then undertake the appropriate action.
Ability to share information and to keep everyone informed

Internships
INTERNSHIPS PLANNING: Semester 1: March 1st to July 31st

Main duty
The main duty of the incumbent will be to manage PROJECTS, PARTICIPATE to the elaboration of projects and programs that you will be handled; EXAMINE proposals; ELABORATE agreements, ANALYZE the elaboration and execution of programs and projects; EXAMINE the documents and pertinent reports; MAINTAIN contacts with the concerned parts; CONTRIBUTE to the elaboration of various documents (introductory projects, reports chapters and studies…); ENSURE the operational service of consultative meetings and other events, more particularly on the conference days, and PROPOSE the inscription of topic on the agenda, RESEARCH participants, prepare documents and presentations and ensure the logistics if needed.
Skills/profile
Master level university degree in the field of political science, international affairs, international law or related field;
In-depth knowledge of issues related to multilateralism, cooperation and international organizations;
Team spirit: excellent sense of human relations such as the ability to collaborate with colleagues and the realization of common goals;
